President Maduro sent a message of love and national pride on National Flag Day

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, sent a message of love and national pride this Monday for the celebration of National Flag Day.
“The dream of freedom and dignity is alive and shines in its three colors and eight stars. The road has been long since August 3, 1806, when Francisco de Miranda raised the prophetic flag of yellow, blue and red on the ground of La Vela de Coro, for the first time on national soil: a quixotic, courageous and luminous act that announced the times of independence,” he said in a publication published on his Telegram channel.
He stressed that the tricolor “became a symbol, a victorious banner of Gran Colombia and of the liberating armies of South America, with Bolivar and Sucre at the helm, forever.”
“220 years after its arrival on the mainland of South America, the dream is alive and shines more than ever in its colors and eight stars,” stressed the Head of State, who is being illegally detained in the United States (USA).
Maduro urged the entire Venezuelan people to embrace each other in the National Flag, “to continue on the path of encounter, reconciliation, union and national rebirth. Let's say with love, with noble and just gratitude: Francisco de Miranda lives today more than ever in our national being,” he stressed.
