President Nicolás Maduro assured that Venezuela is increasingly “prepared to defend the sacred soil” of the nation.

The president rejected the intentions of the United States government, stating that the “gringo empire is not right” in its actions.

The Head of State openly questioned Washington's foreign policy: “What does the North American empire want? What they want is a war in the Caribbean and South America for regime change, to impose a puppet government and steal oil, gas and gold.”

In this regard, he sent a direct message to the empire: “That oil, that gas, that gold, this land and this people will continue to belong to Venezuelans and we will never allow our country to be violated or touched. Never!” He concluded by stressing that, although Venezuela “doesn't mess with anyone,” its defensive preparation is constant.
