President Rodríguez met with the president of the World Bank in New York

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, met this Monday in New York with the president of the World Bank Group, Ajay Banga, as part of her work agenda for the 81st session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN).

The meeting is part of the Venezuelan Government's policies to normalize its relations with the international financial system and multilateral institutions, ratifying its commitment to respectful dialogue and multilateral cooperation.

In addition, Venezuela aspires to work together with financial agencies on programs focused on benefiting the population and promoting national economic recovery.

In May, the first meeting was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere with the Vice President for Latin America and the Caribbean of the World Bank, Susana Cordeiro Guerra, where they presented the advances of the Venezuelan economy, as well as the vulnerabilities derived from the economic blockade.
