Private construction grew 9.8% during the second quarter of 2026

According to the Qualitative Survey of Business Chambers carried out by the Federation of Chambers and Associations of Commerce and Production of Venezuela (Fedechambers), the private construction sector grew 9.8% during the second quarter of 2026, followed by manufacturing with 5.9%, tourism services with 1.7% and trade with 0.3%.

In addition, in the statistical instrument replicated by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), he said that real estate services decreased their volume of operations by -10.4%, agriculture fell -4.6% and the area of Other Services declined -0.2%.

In addition, in the report, it was noted that 44.4% of the unions consulted reported stability in their transactions, while 32.5% reported decreases and only 23.2% reported increases in their commercial activity.

Overall, private sector turnover increased by 0.5% during the second quarter compared to the same period last year.

As for private formal employment, the generation of jobs increased by 0.1%. 74.5% of unions kept their payrolls unchanged, 16.11% applied staff reductions and 9.4% reported hiring.

Regarding the income of workers at the end of June, the study set the average compensation of workers at 270 dollars per month, professionals earned 500 dollars and the management level received an average income of 835 dollars.
