To support health care for the population of the Guarenas-Guatire axis, in Miranda state, affected by the earthquakes of June 24, coordination between authorities and health specialists in Barbados and Venezuela is being refined.
In order to accelerate the processes and operation of the services in the field hospital set up by Barbados in the Los Naranjos sector, in Guarenas, a new shipment with more than one ton of medical supplies arrived at the “Simón Bolívar” International Airport in La Guaira this Thursday.
Humanitarian aid from the Barbadian Government has been sustained since the first days of the earthquake emergency, which affected the states of La Guaira —declared a natural disaster zone—, Aragua, Carabobo, Miranda and Yaracuy, as well as Caracas.
Through humanitarian flights, Barbados has sent tens of tons of supplies and materials to Venezuela, together with more than 50 people, including medical and nursing personnel, to work in the health center installed in Guarenas.
