The Attorney General of the Republic, Larry Davoe, ordered the removal, on all social networks of the Public Ministry, of images exposing persons deprived of their liberty or directly identified as responsible for the commission of crimes, without a criminal conviction against them.
Through a post on his Instagram channel, the owner of the criminal action explained that this instruction is expressly based on the principle of the presumption of innocence of all people.
“The presumption of innocence is not a formality, it is a constitutional right that the Public Ministry is obliged to guarantee,” Davoe emphasized.
