On October 1, 2014, the Bolivarian Revolution saw the physical departure of one of its brightest youth cadres, Robert Serra, who with his infinitive verb defended just causes. Always loyal to the legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez and a vassal of the socialist ideal.

At only 22 years old, he became the youngest representative in history in Venezuela, as Chávez predicted: “Soon you will be a Revolutionary Deputy to deepen the Revolution, to make the people legislators, to leave behind representative democracy and give life to popular democracy. You will not be a representative just... You will be a transformer, legislative, revolutionary,” the Commander once said.

He was linked to the Revolution from a very young age, becoming a councilor of the Children's and Youth Council of the Liberator Municipality and was also appointed as head of the Youth of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (JPSUV) in 2007.

Born in Maracucho, Robert Serra was characterized by his rebellious, fighting, accelerated, enthusiastic, revolutionary spirit, who at 27 was already part of the history of the Homeland as an example for the new generations who have chosen politics as their lifestyle.

Eleven years after that night when a group of paramilitaries, allegedly paid by the Colombian Álvaro Uribe, took the life of the faithful follower of the patriotic cause, but the Venezuelan people celebrate his life and remember him with deep joy.
