Rodríguez congratulated President Maduro and the first female fighter for actions to rescue Saab

During a press conference, the head of the Dialogue Commission, Jorge Rodríguez, explained that the talks for the release of Alex Saab “arduous, hard and difficult for more than two years and an immense effort in defense of the diplomat”.

In this regard, he congratulated President Nicolás Maduro and the first female fighter Cilia Flores for the actions to rescue the diplomat.

In addition, he asserted that action will be taken regarding the torture that Alex Saab suffered in Cape Verde.

“We are not going to stay that way, those who coordinated the torture in Cape Verde have been identified ( ... )”, he said.

He stressed that one of the negotiations to start the dialogue and sign the agreements was on the condition of releasing Alex Saab.
