The Venezuelan National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs dresses up this Friday at 4:00pm to welcome the Evencio Castellanos Regional Symphony.

The emblematic Simón Bolívar Hall will be the setting for a meeting that promises not only technical excellence, but also a deep emotional charge as it shows the future of academic music in the country.

The concert will feature a luxurious direction under the baton of Maestro Abner Padrino, a prominent cellist and member of the prestigious Simón Bolívar Symphony.

However, the big surprise of the day will be the participation of the “little grandmaster” Samuel Abraham González. Barely 10 years old, but with an astonishing artistic maturity, the young musical ambassador of Grupo Otilca will act as guest conductor to open the gala with the vibrant overture of Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro.

The evening will continue with the participation of the soloist Marcela Gutiérrez, who will take on the challenge of performing the demanding Concerto for Cello and Orchestra by Camille Saint-Saëns, a piece that will test the virtuosity and sensitivity of the young performer.

Borgan Ascanio, director of the Montalbá Regional Academic Center, highlighted the importance of this event for musicians who live in the nucleus.

“It's a very emotional concert because the regional orchestra rehearses in Montalbán, and you don't always have the opportunity to be in the Simón Bolívar Hall. Performing here requires a high level, which means that Evencio Castellanos is doing an excellent job,” said Ascanio.

The director also emphasized that this group represents the fundamental replacement for the professional orchestras that represent Venezuela internationally, inviting all the public to witness the remarkable technical and artistic progress of these young people.
