With proposals ranging from the installation of direct gas to recycling and waterproofing projects, the “Gigante Cacique Tiuna” Commune, of the San Pedro de Caracas parish, refines its organization for the Second National Popular Consultation to be held on October 18.
During an interview with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), community spokeswoman Iskra Pérez highlighted that the projects were selected through popular meetings with the active participation of condominium councils. These instances made it possible to diagnose firsthand the priorities of the territory for the direct resolution of local needs.
In this regard, he noted that community initiatives are closely aligned with the Plan of the 7 Transformations (7T), with projects in each of their dimensions.
In this context, he indicated that the main proposals include waterproofing projects, promotion of local tourist routes, the acquisition of a plastic processing machine, as well as the provision and equipment of Self-Government Rooms.
“We have a planning cycle in the commune where the critical issues and the priorities to be addressed are reviewed. What we want is for each of these projects to contribute decisively to the development of the Homeland Plan,” he said.
He stressed that the experience accumulated in the popular consultations shows that the People are prepared to exercise a different management through the Communal State, by efficiently managing the allocated resources.
