Sector Vice President Héctor Rodríguez: In 60 days we will present the country's reconstruction plan together with the UN

The sectoral vice-president for Social and Territorial Socialism, Héctor Rodríguez, announced that in 60 days a plan, prepared hand in hand with experts from the United Nations (UN), will be presented to the president in charge, to recover the areas affected by the earthquake double of last June 24.

“The time is coming to move from the rescue to the general recovery of the country, to the integral rebirth of the country, and we want to do that in an orderly, methodical, scientific way, taking real damage and with a strategic vision that does not lead us to rebuild based on what we had but that leads us to rebuild with greater quality in terms of resistance to possible future events and better quality in terms of the way of life we want for Venezuelans, with sustainability, quality, with an environment of aesthetic beauty of urban planning, with a viable and growing economy and these are the general lines that we have been talking about and building with international teams,” he said.

He added that tomorrow, Thursday, the workshops will begin with officials from the vice-presidencies of Public Works, the right to the City and the area of Social Protection. “From then on, working groups will be developed, which will have 60 days to present a realistic and detailed report with detailed guidelines for the proposal for the recovery of affected areas and with a tribute to recovery and rebirth,” he said.
