SENAMECF inaugurated a new area of forensic pathology in Zulia

In a continuous effort to ensure timely care in the region, the National Service of Medicine and Forensic Sciences (SENAMECF), of the Zulia state service, inaugurated a new area of Forensic Pathology in the entity's Jesús Enrique Lossada municipality.

This strategic work represents a fundamental step forward for the approximation of forensic services, with the objective of streamlining technical-scientific procedures and providing an efficient and timely response in the administration of justice in the municipality.

The event, the Ministry of Popular Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace (MPPRIJP), on its Instagram account, reported that it was attended by national, regional and institutional authorities of SENAMECF, as well as representatives of security agencies and the health system.

Among those present were Luz Mery Caldera, the sole health authority in Zulia, who highlighted the work that the organization has been doing in the region with a large qualified staff. “The forensic team in the state of Zulia has been doing important work in the adaptation and opening of new headquarters,” he said.

During the event, Ronald Mavarez, state director of SENAMECF in Zulia, stated that the implementation of this area of Forensic Pathology will allow for the execution of surveys with the highest standards of technical rigor, transparency and human sensitivity, offering respectful support to victims and their families.

For his part, the mayor of the Jesús Enrique Lossada municipality, Carlos Colina, also congratulated the SENAMECF team for being ready to serve the people of Losada. “Welcome to institutions for the development of the municipality, a benefit for all our communities,” he said.

With this new area of forensic pathology, Italo Atencio, municipal coordinator, said that it responds to the historic clamor of the inhabitants of the municipality. In this regard, he stressed that “the people of Losada have a scientific infrastructure that meets the needs of our people. It represents a qualitative transformation in the exercise of criminal investigation.”

The day culminated with the blessing of the new facilities, in the hands of Monsignor Nolberto García, chaplain of SENAMECF, and then an inspection tour of the new area took place.

The authorities found that the site has the highest standards of functionality thanks to the professionalism of the technicians and pathologists who make up this team, thus reaffirming the commitment of the SENAMECF multidisciplinary team in the region to maintaining new spaces that dignify forensic management in Zulia.
