At the headquarters of the Venezuelan Embassy in Kenya, two activities took place with social movements and friends in solidarity with the South American country.

The first occurred within the framework of the first month of the kidnapping of Constitutional President Nicolás Maduro Moros and the First Lady, deputy Cilia Flores, in which the film “Nicolás: The Origin” was screened.

The cinema forum included the words of Ambassador Moravia Peralta, who reviewed the historical context in which the film takes place, the dreams and training of Nicolás Maduro before he became President of the Republic.

The Venezuelan diplomat reiterated that today the anti-imperialist struggle is stronger than ever and that revolutionary forces worldwide are raising their voices in a single slogan: #BringThemBack.

In the second activity, the Kenyan Rastafari Society paid an official visit to the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. This organization, dedicated to the preservation of the rights of Pan-African indigenous peoples and the promotion of social justice, environmental conservation and youth education, went to the diplomatic headquarters to express its strong support for the Venezuelan people.

During the meeting, social leaders expressed their deep indignation at the episodes of violence that occurred on January 3 in the Caribbean country. In a gesture of brotherhood, they made a global call for peace, defending the principles of sovereignty and the self-determination of peoples.

Ambassador Moravia Peralta thanked the solidarity and analyzed the national situation in a discussion. He stressed that there is an unstoppable international movement that unites to repudiate what he described as a flagrant violation of international law and the right to live in peace.
