Statement: FANB initiated new command and control maneuvers to ensure the country's comprehensive defense

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) began, early this Tuesday morning, a new phase of the Independence Plan 200 aimed at optimizing command, control and communications within the framework of forms of armed and unarmed struggle for the integral defense of our country.

This was reported by the Minister of Defense, G/J Vladimir Padrino López, through a statement released on his social networks, in which he stressed that these maneuvers include the massive deployment of land, air, naval, river and missile resources; weapons systems; Military Units; Bolivarian Militia; Citizen Security Organs and Commands for Integral Defense; that across the entire spectrum of national geographical space and in perfect popular military-police fusion, they will carry out various tasks to ensure the integration of the elements of National Power in the mission of confronting the threats of imperialism against our country.

“In the same way, the Management Bodies for Integral Defense (ODDI) will be fully activated in all states and federal and municipal entities, in order to carry out the necessary inter-institutional and popular coordination to guarantee the multisectoral support required by National Mobilization,” the statement said.

The senior military official also stressed that the FANB is strengthened together, with moral cohesion and equipment to, together with the Venezuelan people, preserve at all costs our freedom, sovereignty, independence, stability and peace.
