As instructed by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, this Saturday the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) initiated the plan The Barracks Go to the People as part of the actions of the preparation operation for the defense of the country's territorial integrity in the face of threats from North American imperialism.

“Next Saturday, September 20, the barracks, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, goes to the town, goes to the communities to deploy them, to review, to teach all those who enlisted, neighbors, what is the management of the weapons system,” the National President announced last Thursday.

The Commander in Chief of the FANB also stressed that this action would mark the first time that members of the Armed Forces “go with their weapons to the people, to the neighborhood, not to repress, but to merge as one for the defense of the Homeland.”

This phase of defense preparation comes after the day of enlistment of the People in the Bolivarian Militia, which was a resounding success with more than 8 million Venezuelans who expressed their willingness to prepare in arms for the protection of the territorial integrity of the Homeland.

“We don't mess with anyone but we prepare in case it were needed,” emphasized the head of state.
