The Bolivarian Government carried out epidemiological control in the Caraballeda temporary camp

An environmental health and epidemiological control operation was activated in the Transitional Camp of the Caraballeda Golf Course, state of La Guaira, to guarantee the supply of drinking water and prevent the spread of endemic diseases.

“We are in the La Guaira Camp with vector control measures to provide safe water quality for the population,” said the director general of Environmental Health, Luis González, according to a press release from the Ministry of Health replicated by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN).

The teams applied chlorination to storage tanks and checked rainwater collectors. They also carried out abatement and fumigation in vulnerable areas to interrupt the reproductive cycle of the Aedes aegypti mosquito.

The intervention included rapid diagnostic tests and the administration of antimalarial treatments in positive cases, as well as the implementation of deworming and the verification of vaccination programs through screening campaigns.
