The Bolivarian Government of Miranda inspected La Hacienda residences in Guatire to define a rehabilitation plan

The governor of the state of Miranda, Elio Serrano, inspected the technique in the facilities of the La Hacienda residential complex, located in the municipality of Zamora.

This was announced by the Government, through a press release, in which it was detailed that this action is aimed at evaluating the damage caused by the double earthquake of last June 24 to the two towers of the complex.

Serrano explained that according to preliminary evaluations by pathological engineers, the general structure of the buildings remains firm.

“However, due to the severe damage to the enclosures and masonry of floors 1, 2, 3 and the ground floor, as well as the compromise detected in one of its eight main columns and load-bearing beams, the buildings remain classified with a red label, a condition that prohibits preventive habitability,” he said.

He also added that regional authorities are waiting for definitive instructions from the Presidential Commission for Habitability, which will visit the building to begin reinforcement works.

“Pathologists tell us that when a structure is affected by up to 25%, there is a technical feasibility for full recovery. We are waiting for the ratification of the Presidential Commission to assume a direct commitment to the neighbors and begin engineering work in these spaces,” he said.
