On March 16, 1968, the My Lai massacre, carried out by American soldiers against Vietnamese citizens, occurred.

For the United States, it was a great victory in distorting the facts and claiming that they were Viet Cong fighters. But this information was later denied by reporter Seymour Hersh, who published that the massacre left 471 deaths, of which 56 babies, 60 elderly people, 182 women and 173 children were the victims.

They sexually assaulted women before killing them. In the end, only one soldier was convicted of one of the most shocking episodes of the Vietnam War.
