Three TANCOL camps and three illegal mining camps dismantled the FANB in Amazonas in the last 8 days

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), for the past eight days, has detected and destroyed, in the state of Amazonas, three logistics and protection camps used by the Colombian Armed Narcotrafficking Terrorist groups (TANCOL), reported the head of the Integral Defense Operational Zone (ZODI) of that entity, G/D Lionel Sojo Rada.

During a contact with Defense Minister G/J Vladimir Padrino López, the senior military officer indicated that uniforms and clothing referring to these terrorist groups were detected in the first camp; 353 cartridges of different calibers were found; 29 rifle magazines; 950 kilos of urea; 450 liters of aviation; motorcycles; security cameras; satellite and communications equipment.

In the second camp, consisting of 14 wooden and plastic structures, 3,200 liters of diesel were found; 1,800 liters of gasoline; 800 kilos of food; 5,867 units of medicines and medical supplies; two assault rifles with their respective magazines and ammunition

The third camp, as reported by Sojo Rada, consisted of 15 structures in which 3,200 liters of gasoline, 1,820 liters of diesel and different communication equipment were found.

“In addition, a clandestine runway used for activities related to drug trafficking was located and disabled. Here, an aircraft type Cessna 206 was located and destroyed; 3,000 liters of aviation fuel; 2,000 liters of diesel; 1,600 liters of gasoline; a satellite antenna and communications equipment,” said the senior military official.

Also, as part of the fight against illegal mining, our uniformed personnel detected and destroyed 3 camps used by these groups dedicated to preying on our environment. “In these cases, a total of 15,200 liters of gasoline and 6,000 liters of diesel were seized, which were to be used to operate machinery used for illegal mining. A boat and an outboard motor were seized, and 5 citizens were also arrested for the illegal practice of mining,” he said.
