TUPAMARO Begins Basic Popular Resistance Course

In response to the constant threats where the pretensions of invasion of our country have prevailed, the TUPAMARO Revolutionary Movement is developing a “Basic Course of Popular Resistance”, aimed at all militants.

“In the context of the current situation and the insistence of constant threats from imperialism on undermining the sovereignty of the Homeland, the red-black organization is once again at the forefront, to continue to guide its troops in the framework of the War of All the People, where popular militias play a leading role in the defense of sovereignty,” said William Benavides, Secretary General of this cadre organization.

He recalled the call, in recent days, of President Nicolás Maduro Moros, to the Venezuelan people to organize the political, social and cultural forces of the Revolution, as well as to prepare and adapt to the armed struggle if Venezuela is militarily attacked by North American imperialism

Benavides, reiterated that TUPAMARO complies with the orientation by participating in this advanced course within the framework of the situation, “we have been preparing our leadership and militancy for years, who were thinking of making a revolution and not being attacked by the most genocidal empire in the world, was wrong”.

“Within the spaces of the school are the colleagues from the different states of the country and, of course, those who are committed, embodying all these elements for the construction of a just and equal society,” he said.

In this regard, Manuel Azuaje, National Secretary of Formation of the said Movement, stressed that: “within the framework of the imperial agenda that has been imposed on us, today we are preparing to give more tools to our people and militancy to advance in the defense of the Homeland, knowledge about what is hybrid war, war of resistance, protracted popular war and war of all the people, to be prepared for any attempt at aggression that the foreign boot wants to impose on Venezuela”.

“The organization will be at the forefront, fighting alongside peasant fronts and movements, the organization of women, the people, social movements, organized popular power, demonstrating its commitment to building a society with social justice,” she said.
