On April 14, 2013, in the midst of the pain caused by the physical departure of Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez, the People went to the voting centers to ratify their decision for a free and sovereign homeland, electing the young labor leader, Nicolás Maduro, as president of the Republic.

“Maduro from my heart” was the slogan of the People who, overcoming the pain and conspiracy of the enemies of the Fatherland, fulfilled the promise they had made to Commander Chávez to continue the fight for the independence of the Fatherland “under any circumstances”.

This historic triumph made Maduro the first Chavista president of Venezuela, and thus broke with the cycle of betrayal that had marked the country for the last two centuries.

Twelve years after this revolutionary victory, today the People are still under the leadership of President Maduro, defending the immortal legacy of the Liberator Simón Bolívar and the Supreme Commander, so that in a civic-military union, we can consolidate independence and sovereignty, towards a Venezuelan power
