The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, received this Monday at the port of La Guaira two ships carrying 341 tons of humanitarian aid from Mexico, adding to the solidarity expressed by the Aztec nation since the beginning of the recent earthquakes.

Speaking to Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), Foreign Minister Gil explained that 227 tons of humanitarian aid arrived via the Isla Holbox ship and 114 more tons were transported by the Huasteco vessel, both loaded with water purification plants, food, personal hygiene items and medical supplies.

He pointed out that this is “a completely comprehensive aid, which joins all the efforts that the Bolivarian Government and the friendly countries that have been working with Venezuela have been making.”

In this regard, on behalf of the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez, he thanked the Government of the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, “for this gesture of brotherhood that comes today on these ships, but which has been active since June 24, in messages, in actions, in rescuers and that the Venezuelan people fully recognize.”
