The president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, assured that the agreement for the Cardón IV gas project between PDVSA and the European energy companies REPSOL (Spain) and ENI (Italy) will guarantee the supply of gas for national development.

Through a post on his social networks, Rodríguez stated that this agreement will allow Venezuela to continue moving forward on the path of becoming a gas-exporting country.

The signing of the agreement is a strategic step for the consolidation of the national energy industry and lays the operational basis for expanding export capacities, aligned with the objective of turning Venezuela into a key player in the international gas market.

During the signing of the agreement, the President in Charge expressed her gratitude to the representatives of REPSOL and ENI for their permanence and commitment to the country.

Rodríguez took the opportunity to welcome the administration of Minister Paula Henao, recently appointed to the Hydrocarbons portfolio, and urged her to continue strengthening international alliances.

In the same way, he extended an invitation to European partners to deepen operations in joint oil companies. “We are ready to take on the joint ventures we have in the area of oil to increase production. May this translate into the benefit of the Venezuelan people, but also for the peoples of Spain, Italy and those who need it,” he said.

The President in Charge emphasized that Venezuela remains open to future projects under a shared benefits scheme.
