Venezuela and Iran make progress in cooperation on artificial intelligence

Venezuela's National Information Technology Center (CNTI) and Iran's Modern Data Center development company MDC signed an agreement for the transfer of technology and training in artificial intelligence.

The agreement was signed within the framework of the X Meeting of the Iran-Venezuela High Level Joint Commission, and includes providing 50 schools with equipment for learning Artificial Intelligence and training personnel in this area.

This agreement will also strengthen the National Program “Scientific Seedbeds”, promoted by the National Government through the Ministry for Science and Technology (Mincyt), because it contemplates the creation of training centers in Artificial Intelligence for students.

Recently, according to a Mincyt press release, the Minister for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez, held a meeting with the head of Iranian Defense, Aziz Nasirzadeh, with a view to strengthening the technological and training capacities of both countries.

To date, Caracas and Tehran have signed nearly 298 cooperation agreements, of which 80 were signed in the last two years, in areas such as science, technology, culture, education and health; in order to continue strengthening the bonds of brotherhood between peoples, in order to promote the socio-economic development of the country.
