Venezuela and Iran sign agreement for fiber optic factory

In the state of La Guaira, a strategic alliance was signed with the company MDC to begin work to adapt the Investment Center, in the former Caracas storage plant in Catia la Mar, in order to install the first fiber optic factory in the country.

According to information published on the Radio Miraflores web portal, the governor, Alejandro Terán, explained that this alliance represents new sources of employment as well as being “another firm step within the framework of the Special Economic Zone of La Guaira”.

This agreement was signed in the company of Iran's ambassador to Venezuela, Hojjatolah Soltani, and the Iranian Information Technology Minister, Seyed Sattar Hashemi.

The Technological, Logistics, Logistics and Industrial Production axis includes the parishes of Catia La Mar, Urimare, Carlos Soublette, Maiquetía and La Guaira where the port and airport services are located.
