Venezuela and the European Union increase their diplomatic relations

The first deputy minister of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Oliver Blanco, greeted and welcomed the new designated ambassador of the European Union in Caracas, Gilles Bertrand, at a meeting held at the “Antonio José de Sucre” Yellow House, accompanied by the new designated ambassador of Venezuela to the European Bloc, Raúl Li Causi.

Through his social networks, the Deputy Minister for Europe and North America said that, on behalf of President Delcy Rodríguez, we welcome the fact that our relations have been raised to the level of ambassadors and we are talking about issues of common interest.”

Likewise, Deputy Minister Blanco said that “diplomacy with people in mind builds bridges, generates shared benefits and contributes to the progress and well-being of Venezuelans.”

Ambassador Bertrand, who arrived in the country last Monday and assumes this new responsibility after his administration as head of mission of the European Union in Colombia, emphasized his enthusiasm for the new challenges in Venezuelan territory.
