Venezuela continues a day of engagement with multilateral entities to strengthen joint work

In the continuation of the day of meetings that began the day before, the Deputy Minister for Multilateral Affairs of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Joaquín Pérez Ay, held productive exchanges this Tuesday with representatives in Venezuela of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the World Program of Food (WFP), as well as with the Permanent Secretary of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic System (SELA).

 

These meetings, held at the headquarters of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, made it possible to review the areas of cooperation and to address opportunities to continue strengthening joint work, based on national priorities and the efforts being carried out by the Government of the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez to promote the recovery and reconstruction of the country.

 

The meetings served to recognize the solidarity and support provided to Venezuela after the double earthquake of last June 24.

 

In addition, they made it possible to exchange perspectives on opportunities to continue articulating capacities and efforts in support of national priorities of recovery, reconstruction and development, “with the well-being of our people as a fundamental objective and the shared determination to contribute to the rebirth of Venezuela,” said the diplomat.

 

The day before, at the start of the exchange day, Deputy Minister Pérez Aymet with representatives in Caracas of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
