Venezuela continues to review the multilateral agenda with representatives of the international community

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs and International Trade is making progress on the agenda of meetings with representatives of the international community accredited in the country, through meetings led by the Deputy Minister for Multilateral Affairs, Joaquín Pérez Ay.

In this regard, the diplomat held meetings with the Cuban ambassador, Jorge Luis Mayo; the South African ambassador, Lindiwe Michelle Maseko; the head of Mission of the Republic of Korea, Hansang Lee, and representatives of the World Bank.

The meetings reviewed the different aspects of the multilateral agenda, as well as the opportunities to continue strengthening dialogue, cooperation and coordination in those spaces and issues where there are common interests and shared challenges.

Regarding the meeting with representatives of the World Bank, on his social networks, the Deputy Minister explained that “the dialogue continues on opportunities to strengthen cooperation in areas of interest to our country, particularly in the area of development, recovery and reconstruction, as well as on the support that international financial institutions can provide, in accordance with national priorities, to efforts aimed at ensuring the well-being of the Venezuelan people ”.

These meetings reiterate Venezuela's position to use “dialogue as a tool to build trust, build bridges and identify spaces for convergence and joint action with the different actors of the international community.”
