Venezuela dismissed 41 rescue workers from Qatar and thanked them for humanitarian assistance after the double earthquake

This Friday, Venezuela dismissed 41 rescue workers from Qatar who remained in the state of La Guaira, providing support in the work of removing debris, rescuing and rescuing the victims of the double earthquake that occurred last June 24.

The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry expressed, on behalf of the Bolivarian Government and its people, a deep gratitude to the delegation of the State of Qatar, which departed from the “Simon Bolivar” International Airport, aboard a Qatari Armed Forces aircraft.

Venezuelan authorities valued the immediate humanitarian aid sent to Venezuela by the Government and people of the Arab country, following the recent double earthquake of 7.2 and 7.5 that shook Venezuela.

Qatari assistance consisted of the deployment of personnel, rescue and medical teams, in addition to the actions taken by the Bolivarian Government to care for thousands of families affected by the natural disaster.

According to the official report of July 16, there have so far been 4,930 deaths, 16,740 injured, 6,462 rescued, 128,324 families served, 107 temporary camps, 21,210 people in camps.
