Venezuela heading to the World Robotics Olympiad 2026

The Ministry of Popular Power for Science and Technology (MinCyT) brought together 257 children and young people from 12 states of the country at the facilities of the Military Circle of Caracas for the grand national final of the WRO Venezuela 2026 World Robotics Olympiad. This national event closed a territorial deployment of eight regional days that began in September.
The closing ceremony was attended by the sectoral vice-president of Science, Technology, Ecosocialism and Health, Dr. Isabel Iturria, Minister Yván Gil Pinto and Deputy Minister Danmarys Hernández. The attendees congratulated the participants on behalf of the President, Delcy Rodríguez, while reaffirming the impetus of the National Scientific Seed Program for the strengthening of technological culture in the country.
During the day, the official winners were defined in their different categories. In Robotic Sports, the absolute victory went to Los Trembos (Carabobo), while Prometheus Team (Barinas) dominated the Future Engineers division. For its part, the Robotic Missions category dedicated Hacker Bros (Zulia) at the Elementary level, Bug Algorithms (Miranda) at the Junior level and RG Again (Anzoátegui) at the Senior level. Finally, in Elementary Innovative Futures, the Las Ada Bots team (Anzoátegui) stood out at the top of the honor roll.
In the Junior category, the podium was made up of Anuwa Robotics (Zulia), Dicomm (Lara) and Creative Titans (Táchira); while in the Senior category, Golden Codex (Anzoátegui), Calyx (Zulia) and Series Innovators (Anzoátegui) were awarded.
The winning teams will assume the responsibility of representing the nation at the 2026 World Robotics Olympiad, which will take place in Puerto Rico from December 8 to 10 under the motto “Connecting the World”.
This international meeting will challenge participants to explore solutions through the use of prototypes that improve communication, transportation and the integration of communities globally.
With these results, emerging Venezuelan talent consolidates their readiness to raise the name of their country on the Latin American stage.
