The Minister of
Popular Power for Tourism, Daniella Cabello, held
working meetings with representatives of tourism companies to promote connectivity
and strengthen the arrival of international visitors to Margarita Island.
During the meeting with the commercial
vice president of Sunwing Vacation Group, Eric Rodríguez, and
representatives of SunSol Hotels, strategies to reincorporate
Margarita into the Canadian tourism market were evaluated.
As part of the
planned actions, a forthcoming technical visit by Sunwing representatives
to the island was coordinated, as well as institutional tours to address aspects
related to the development of tourism.
Cabello also made progress in
coordinating migratory matters with Canada, aimed at facilitating the
mobility of visitors and encouraging an increase in tourist flow to Venezuela.
The head of Tourism also
held a videoconference with Marcelo Rimmaudo, executive director of Hover Tours; Enrique Castro, general director of
Hesperia World America, and
Jesús Oropeza, commercial director of Hesperia World America, to establish
actions to strengthen Margarita's presence in the inbound tourism market.
The efforts are part
of a strategy to expand routes, increase connectivity and
consolidate alliances with international operators, with Margarita as one of
the main destinations for Venezuelan inbound tourism.
