The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Relations and International Trade, Félix Ramón Plasencia González, met this Thursday with the new Resident Coordinator of the United Nations (UN) in Venezuela, Álvaro Rodríguez, to strengthen cooperation mechanisms between the South American country and the international organization.
During the meeting, held in his office, Foreign Minister Plasencia transmitted, on behalf of the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, a cordial welcome to the new UN representative in the Latin American nation.
He also highlighted the recognition by the Bolivarian Government of the support provided by the various agencies of the organization following the recent seismic events recorded in Venezuela on June 24.
“We reaffirm our full willingness to continue to deepen and diversify technical cooperation with the UN, always on the basis of dialogue, mutual respect and trust for the well-being of our people,” said the Venezuelan diplomat through his account on the social network X.
