The Venezuelan ambassador to Tunisia, Reinaldo Bolívar, was received by his Lebanese counterpart in the African nation, Toni Frangie, with whom he spoke about strengthening bilateral relations.

Frangie, who was prominent in Venezuela for several years during the administration of President Hugo Chávez, pointed out the close ties that unite Venezuelans and Lebanese, given that Bolívar's homeland was home to tens of thousands of men and women from Lebanon who have lived in it and have formed families, for which his nation feels great gratitude for the South American country.

With regard to the situation in Lebanon and Palestine, he considers international condemnations to be very important, as well as the unity of the Arabs under these circumstances. For his part, Bolívar reaffirmed Venezuela's solidarity with the causes of peoples who want to be free, especially Palestine and Lebanon; which has been expressed publicly and at international conferences.
