The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, confirmed that bilateral relations between Venezuela and the United States, as well as the signing of various energy agreements, are the way to obtain a shared benefit between both nations.

“These are fields in Anaco, Monagas and Barinas, not only for oil but also for associated gas, and that this gas can serve as a boost for the Venezuelan Electric System. It's very important,” he said.

He stressed that “here the interests of the United States and Venezuela intersect, as through complementarity, to promote the shared benefit of the people of the United States and the Venezuelan people.”

This was stated at the Salón Sol del Perú, in the Miraflores Palace, where he received a delegation from the United States and led the signing of agreements between Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), Overseas Oil Company and Crossover Energy Holding.

“I welcome this visit and I know that we are going to continue consolidating an agenda of bilateral cooperation,” he stressed.

He also commented on the celebration of Labor Day, “we made announcements that have to do with recovering the purchasing power of Venezuelan workers who have been hit hard by the issue of sanctions.”

“Convey President Trump, who is a man of action, tell him that there are men and women of action here, but also of words. We have committed our word to building solid foundations in long-term relations between the United States and Venezuela,” he said.

The president in charge highlighted the arrival to the country of the United States delegation present at the event, which “arrived on the first American Airlines flight today and brought important representation to Jarrod Agen of the White House, as well as to the chargé d'affaires, John Barrett and other undersecretaries who accompany us.”
