‎Venezuela receives medical supplies from Switzerland to deal with the‎ earthquake emergency

‎Este Monday, a shipment of medical supplies arrived from Switzerland at “Simón Bolívar” International Airport, in the state of La Guaira, as part of international humanitarian assistance following the contingency generated by the double earthquake of last June 24.

‎El shipment was received by the accredited Swiss ambassador to Venezuela, Gilles Roduit, and the director of the office of the Deputy Minister for International Communication, Luciana Larrazabal, as part of the humanitarian and solidarity deployment towards the Venezuelan people in the face of the natural tragedy.
‎ “Today we received a plane from the Swiss Armed Forces with a ton of medical equipment to reinforce social care for the Guairian population,” said the diplomat.
On July 2,‎La president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, awarded the rescue delegation of the Swiss Confederation with the Hero of Venezuela medal, in its second class, for her outstanding participation in the search, rescue and rescue of victims affected by the two earthquakes that recently shook the country, with the greatest destructive impact on the coastal area of La Guaira.
