From the Republic of Panama Transitional Camp, the deployment of the Venezuela Renace 2026 Sports Games began in the state of La Guaira, an initiative aimed at bringing physical, recreational and cultural activities to children and young people.

The day was led by Governor José Alejandro Terán together with the Minister of Popular Power for Sports, Franklin Cardillo, who stressed that the goal is to address the 108 camps set up in La Guaira, Caracas, Miranda and Aragua. The program includes eight sports disciplines, as well as yoga sessions and activities aimed at older adults.

For his part, Governor Terán stressed that, within the framework of school holidays, these intercamp games are part of a comprehensive care plan that guarantees nutrition, health and psychosocial and spiritual support. “We want our children to continue to dream big for the Fatherland,” said Terán.

In addition, Ramón Calderón, volleyball coach, highlighted the importance of these disciplines for the good use of free time and the promotion of community values. “Young people learn to share, integrate and recreate themselves. Today we receive sports equipment that we will use in the different disciplines of the games,” he said.

The authorities expect sporting events to take place throughout the month of August as part of the contingency plan and reconstruction of the social fabric in the affected areas.
