The Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Félix Plasencia González, on behalf of the Bolivarian Government, expressed his solidarity with the People and Government of the Philippines, following the passage of heavy monsoon rains and tropical cyclones that have caused multiple human losses.

Through his social networks, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister highlighted Venezuela's support “for people evacuated on the island of Luzon and the metropolitan area of Manila”, and therefore wished for the speedy recovery of the inhabitants injured as a result of these natural phenomena.

Around 10,000 people were evacuated from their homes this Tuesday in the Philippines, where new “serious floods” are expected due to the monsoon rains that have already caused 26 deaths this month and will increase in the next 48 hours, according to forecasts from the Asian country's Office of Civil Defense (OCD).
