The Venezuelan delegation won 13 medals this Tuesday, September 15 at the Santa Fe 2026 South American Games, of which they were gold, the same amount of silver and three bronze medals in various disciplines.
With this result, the country has accumulated 24 medals in three days of competition and is in fifth place in the medal table.
The medals were won by Yilihannys Jiménez and Julio Mayora in weightlifting, Katherine Paredes and Grabiel Lugo in fencing, and Lismar Lyon in swimming. The silver was awarded by Dionangel Vargas in weightlifting, Roberto García in speed skating, Manuel Díaz and Mercedes Toledo in swimming, and the quartet composed of Jorge Otaiza, Dennis Pérez, Manuel Díaz and César Paredes in swimming.
The bronzes went to José Carlos Rojas in speed skating, Adickson Trejo in artistic gymnastics and Jesús Limardo in fencing.
