Venezuelan Foreign Minister held meetings with diplomats from several countries to strengthen bilateral cooperation

As part of the development of the CELAC-Africa High Level Forum in Bogotá, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Yván Gil, held a series of meetings with diplomatic representatives from different nations with the purpose of deepening our country's bilateral relations and strengthening South-South cooperation.
According to a message posted by Gil on his Telegram channel, one of the meetings was with Cheikh Niang, Minister of African Integration and Foreign Affairs of Senegal. “During our meeting, we exchanged greetings and reaffirmed our mutual willingness to consolidate these 56 years of bilateral relations, which have covered strategic areas such as energy, culture and diplomacy. In addition, we highlight our joint position in favor of peace and respect for international law,” the diplomat wrote.
The foreign minister also held a meeting with Juan Ramón de la Fuente, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, to whom he expressed Venezuela's support for the call that Mexico has made for the strengthening of multilateralism, solidarity between peoples and cooperation between regions of Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean. “This joint effort is essential to ensure mutual and sustainable development,” he stressed.
“We had a cordial meeting with Edouard Bizimana, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Burundi, in the context of the CELAC-Africa High-Level Forum being held in Bogotá, Colombia. During our meeting, we reaffirmed our commitment to building solid bilateral relations, based on cooperation and exchange not only to promote economic development, but also to promote a cultural, educational and diplomatic rapprochement between our peoples,” the foreign minister explained in another publication.
In addition, during a meeting, Gil shared words of friendship with the Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Hodwin Friday, with whom, in addition, he agreed on the importance of the space provided by this opportunity to strengthen ties between the peoples of Africa and the nations of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States.
