Venezuelan Government Institutions Evaluate Technological Proposals Presented by India

This Monday, an inter-institutional meeting was held at the facilities of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs and International Trade, with the purpose of reviewing and evaluating the technological proposals submitted by the Republic of India, corresponding to the DigiLocker and UPI platforms, as well as their potential and possible areas of application in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
In addition to the Foreign Ministry, representatives of the ministries of the People's Power for Science and Technology, and Economy and Finance, the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) and the Administrative Service for Identification, Migration and Aliens (SAIME) participated in the activity.
The meeting allowed for the exchange of technical and institutional considerations on both proposals, with a view to articulating a consensual position between the bodies involved.
In this regard, the meeting is part of the preparations for the construction of a joint position of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela with respect to the proposals submitted by the Republic of India, with a view to making progress soon in the establishment of bilateral cooperation mechanisms in the field of science and technology, as well as in the identification and evaluation of possible projects of common interest.
