Venezuelan Red Cross receives new shipment of humanitarian aid in La Guaira

The Venezuelan Red Cross received, this Wednesday, at the “Simón Bolívar” International Airport, in the state of La Guaira, a shipment containing 42 tons of humanitarian aid, coming from Madrid, Spain, to treat families affected by the earthquakes of last June 24.
‎La cargo will be destined for the temporary camp that the Red Cross installed at the Jorge Luis García Carneiro baseball stadium, in La Guaira, as part of the efforts of the agency and the Venezuelan Government to treat people who lost their homes.
‎Esta new aid includes power plants, pressure washers, sanitary kits, structural camping tents for assistance and shelter, portable field sanitary modules for emergencies and collective sink stations.
‎Hasta to date, the Bolivarian Government has installed 107 temporary camps distributed in the seven states most affected by the earthquakes. According to the latest official bulletin published this Tuesday, 20,903 people are currently in those premises.
The cargo was received by the director of the Office of the Deputy Minister for International Communication, Luciana Larrazábal, and members of the Venezuelan Red Cross.
