Visionary Chávez: The time has come to form a great Venezuelan national front

In Venezuela, there are irrational sectors of the extreme right who don't mind unleashing violence in the country in order to try to seize political power, the Supreme Commander, Hugo Chávez Frías, warned on February 15, 2004.

“There are people here who don't hear any of this, nor do they want to hear or anything, because their plan is different, their plan is the overthrow of the legitimate Government of Venezuela, and as I said at a press conference, those irrational sectors don't care at all that there is violence here and that it breaks out. Oh, no, it's not that they just don't care; that's the game, the game is clear, and I explain it that way so that we can all agree on the counterplan, because we're going to defeat that plan, we're going to neutralize, we're obliged to neutralize those who try to seize power through violence,” said Chávez, from the Miraflores Palace during the Aló Presidente No. 182.
