Web portal enabled for international earthquake donations: Venezuela is not alone!

The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, shared this Wednesday the portal https://venezuelanoestasola.com/ enabled to channel international donations aimed at the care of families affected by the devastating earthquakes that occurred in the country on June 24.

The contribution of individuals, organizations and institutions that want to join humanitarian support can be made through two modalities established on the portal: financial contributions and sending aid by air.

The first modality consists of making a financial contribution to the official account of the CAF (Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean), allocated to the Fund for the Recovery and Reconstruction of Venezuela. Interested persons should verify that the bank details correspond to the official account before making the transfer or deposit, highlights the information published on the platform.

The second modality is aimed at those who wish to send planes with donations, so those interested must complete an application for an overflight and landing permit, a procedure that applies only to flights that carry donations and not to personnel missions, such as rescuers or medical equipment, whose procedures are carried out by another way.

After receiving the information, the authorities evaluate the request and, after authorizing the flight, coordinate the receipt of the aid. “We take care of all the logistics once the flight arrives in Caracas,” the portal says.
