Weekly balance sheet: National Government has delivered 335 homes and evaluated habitability at more than 60,000

This Monday, August 24, as part of the comprehensive care and national reconstruction efforts following the double seismic event of last June 24, the national government, through the weekly newsletter of the Venezuela Renace plan, presented the consolidated balance sheet of rescue actions, medical assistance and infrastructure evaluation in the country.
According to updated official figures, the teams have rescued 6,462 people, while the total number of registered deaths amounts to 6,509. For its part, the hospital care network deployed in the affected areas has provided medical assistance to a total of 226,698 patients.
In the area of infrastructure and housing, technical inspection bodies have so far evaluated 60,785 homes with the following results: Habitable housing: 35,545 structures in safe conditions. Restricted Use: 14,239 buildings requiring minor or moderate repairs and High Risk: 11,001 buildings classified in critical condition or total loss.
As part of the immediate response program for affected families, authorities report the formal delivery of 335 new homes. With regard to sanitation and debris removal, public service crews and heavy machinery have collected between 600,000 and 790,700 tons of material in the impacted areas, representing an increase of 28.61% in road clearance and recovery work.
