With a Revolutionary parade, TUPAMARO celebrated its 21st anniversary as a political party.

Bolivar Square in Maturín municipality, Monagas state, was the epicenter chosen by the TUPAMARO Revolutionary Movement to celebrate its 21st anniversary as a political party.
This emblematic public space became the scene of a revolutionary parade full of symbolism, discipline and militant fervor, where he honored the father of the Fatherland, Simon Bolivar.
This event was led by the parade group of the School for Training and Exchange of Knowledge and Experiences, Juan Emilio González Porta, who with red-black flags, as well as silhouettes of Bolívar and Chávez, reflected revolutionary discipline.
The place was attended by political parties from the Simón Bolívar Great Patriotic Pole, Municipal Offices, Regional Directorate, National Directorate, Party membership and together with the people I accompany with enthusiasm, where the TUPAMARO militancy reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to the Fatherland, they stood firm, with their morals up and their chests held high, demonstrating that revolutionary loyalty is not negotiated, it is exercised with conviction and discipline.
For his part, Williams Benavides, National Secretary General of the TUPAMARO party, emphasized the combative origin of this movement.
“Our organization was born in 1976 in the heat of combat, as a popular movement and as an urban guerrilla group, against Adeco-Copeyan repression,” he said.
I also claim the honor of being a Revolutionary and Anti-Imperialist militiaman who will always carry the Chávez flag, which signifies the dignity of the people in arms and vindicates the militia that Antonio José de Sucre also formed in the rear of the admirable campaign of 1815.”
Finally, he reaffirmed the anti-imperialist character of the party. “If the empire pretends that they are going to come and intimidate us, attack us and we are going to stay calm, well, we know how they enter, but we don't guarantee how they can get out because we are carrying out the war of the whole people”.
The significant event concluded with revolutionary slogans alluding to his philosophical approach, and support for President Nicolás Maduro at a juncture where they are using psychological warfare to try to break loyalty to the Bolivarian and Chavista project.
