With the promise of maintaining national peace, Head of State remembers his election as the first Chavista president.

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reiterated his commitment to the revolutionary people to preserve peace, in order to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of his election as head of state.
“Twelve years ago I was elected the First Chavista President in history, on a heroic day, with a popular and just triumph (...) To the generous and conscious people who complied with Commander Chávez, I say: I have been loyal to my oath to preserve the Peace of Venezuela; in the face of every battle, onslaught and attack, we have emerged victorious, stronger and committed to our mission to guarantee the maximum supreme happiness.”
Nicolás Maduro was elected on April 14, 2013, with the support of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), he won the victory with seven million 505 thousand 338 of the votes counted.
