The Minister of Popular Power for Transport, Francisco Garcés, led a working group with the country's motorized sector, at which various proposals were presented to promote the well-being of the members of this union, with the objective of promoting healthy coexistence and citizen peace.

During the activity, held at the headquarters of the Transportation Department in Caracas, the participants raised initiatives that will be presented to the National Executive and that will strengthen road education, in addition to promoting the protection of members and the safety of citizens.

In this regard, Garcés highlighted the need to update the legal framework in view of the growth of the motorcycle fleet, as well as to unify criteria between municipalities to ensure responsible driving.

“The number of motorcycles can be said to be around 25 out of 100, although we don't have the levels of Asian countries, but it's already starting to be a very important volume within the geometry of our roads, and that means that the city has to prepare,” said the minister.
