The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) declared May 5 as World African Heritage Day, in order to promote respect for the cultural values and natural spaces of this continent to other people living on the planet.
Climate change and the exploitation of natural resources are endangered by 41% of African sites that are World Cultural Heritage, according to UNESCO.
That is why UNESCO called for the protection and preservation of Africa's irreplaceable cultural and natural heritage.
The African continent is characterized by being a very vast place, home to more than 1.2 billion people and the vast majority of them are very young people.
