World Day of Awareness of Abuse and Maltreatment in Old Age

The United Nations Assembly declared June 15, 2006 as the World Day of Awareness of Abuse and Abuse in Old Age, with the objective of promoting effective care for older adults.
With the arrival of the Bolivarian Revolution, Commander Hugo Chávez asserted the rights of the Elderly of the Homeland, through the universality of pensions and the recognition of dedication with the Mission in Greater Love.
Currently, the Bolivarian Government continues to guarantee greater happiness to older men and women with bonuses through the Homeland Plan to counteract the economic war, vaccination days against COVID-19, among others.
For its part, the National Assembly (AN) in 2021 approved the Protection for Older Adults Act.
