Navegantes del Magallanes of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP) announced the renewal of Yadier Molina as manager of La Nave for the next two seasons (2026-2027 and 2027-2028).
Molina, who led the Electric Club to win the LVBP Championship in the 2025-2026 season and also won the award as leader of the year, renewed for two years with an option for a third.
“First of all, I must thank God for giving us life. For me, the fact that I can continue in this project is important, because I firmly believe that we can continue to win championships in the coming years, and I want to be part of that story,” said the Puerto Rican leader, according to the Magallanes BBC website.
In addition, Molina asserted that the important thing will be to be together, like the previous season, to go day to day as if it were game seven, we cannot change that mentality. “If we have that together with the chemistry already shown, we will be successful,” he said
The Helmsman confirmed that the team is more united than ever after the title won, not only on behalf of the players, but all the management and the working group in the offices, with whom they have already started working to build the best possible team for the next contest.
Molina will almost completely repeat the technical staff that was at his side during the conquest of title 14 for the shipowners. Roberto Espinoza will now serve as Bench Coach, Darwin Marrero will repeat as Pitching Coach as well as Kleininger Terán as batting instructor and Eliezer Alfonzo as assistant in that area; Endy Chávez in the initial one, Miguel Socolovich in charge of the bullpen and Clemente Álvarez as catcher instructor, while the two new members will be Stubby Clapp as Third Base Coach and Víctor Ramos in Quality Control.
In the case of the two new members of this staff, Canadian Clapp is part of the coaching staff in Major League Baseball as First Base Coach of the St. Louis Cardinals, for the fourth consecutive season, after being the leader of the Triple A branch of the Red Birds where he won a title in 2018. He has also worked with Houston and Toronto organizations and was part of Canada's staff in the 2013 World Classic.
Meanwhile, Ramos, a 44-year-old Puerto Rican, works as a pitching instructor at the Toronto Blue Jays branches.
